Shiny Hanukkah Menorah Handmade Holiday Card

Shiny Hanukkah Card

Hi, friends! I’m Lauren from Lauren Taylor Made and I’m back with another card-making post to share with you today. The Festival of Lights deserves a handmade card that shines, and I couldn’t resist reaching for Cardstock Warehouse papers to create a bright and elegant Hanukkah design.

Supplies:

I started by cutting the GeoSquares decorative A2 plate from New Blue Colorplan cardstock and layering it over an Azure Blue Colorplan background. The subtle shift in blue tones gives beautiful contrast and dimension without overwhelming the design. I also cut and layered my sentiment pieces in the same two colors. I added some gold watercolor splatters to the background for extra sparkle.

Next, I worked on the focal point - the menorah. I die cut it from the Gold Mirror cardstock for that rich, reflective finish. The candles and melting wax are from Madero Beach Speckletone, with Sorbet Yellow flames to add a soft pop of warmth. I even added a little face cut from Bright White Colorplan and colored in the cheeks and smile with OLO alcohol markers for a bit of personality. After assembling all the pieces, I glued the menorah to the card front.

The “Happy Hanukkah” sentiment, cut from Azure Blue and New Blue, is popped up with foam adhesive, and I added a touch of champagne glitter Pops of Color along the letters for a shimmery ombré finish. The mix of blues, neutrals, and gold captures the glow and joy of Hanukkah perfectly… a handmade way to share light and love this season.
