Spring announces itself in our neighborhood with mother geese followed by their adorable, fluffy goslings. The babies are so cute, following right behind and stumbling along. After seeing a few in our neighborhood, I knew I had to create a card inspired by them. Take a ‘gander’ into spring with this sweet and simple tri-fold greeting card.
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock paper:
- Bearly Art® Liquid Glue
- Ink Pen (Optional)
- Cricut Cutting Machine
Start by cutting and scoring the tri-fold card pieces from the Cricut project file provided. All the images used for this project are available via Cricut Access. I adjusted some of the images using the ‘Slice’ and ‘Weld’ tools to make them more friendly to assemble.
Begin by gluing together the woven accent piece on its neutral base with liquid glue. This woven detail will fill the square ‘window’ of the tri-fold card.
With the woven piece glued together, place a thin line of glue around the edge of the inside of the card’s ‘window’. Place the woven piece face down and press firmly. The window portion of your card is now filled with the charming basket weave pattern.

Next, fold the card along the two score lines, creating the tri-fold card base. The card’s base is now complete and ready for the remaining spring details.

Now for all the adorable geese! Start by gluing together the mama goose. She’s comprised of four pieces – a Lessebo Sunflower base, Lessebo White body, Colorplan Mist wing, and a Colorplan Adriatic Blue bow around her neck. I love the combination of the Sunflower and Adriatic Blue together – they are such happy colors! When finished, glue the mama goose to the front of the card, on the left side. Make sure to leave enough room for one of the adorable babies.

Next, glue together the four baby goslings. They have a Lessebo Sunflower base, Colorplan Sorbet Yellow wings, and a tiny Lessebo Sunflower beak. Three goslings are facing the same way, and one is facing the opposite direction (just for fun). Attach that gosling to the front of the card, next to the mama goose.
The remaining three baby goslings go on the inside fold of the card. They will be a nice little surprise for the card’s recipient. Using liquid glue, attach the three remaining goslings to the inside flap of the card.

With all the geese placed in the card, you can add the floral detail on the front of the card in the upper corner. The Stardream Fairway hue was the perfect touch of green for this spring card.
As an optional step, I used an ink pen to draw some eyes on the geese. This step really brought each of them to life! Maybe they all need names?

The finished tri-fold card is bursting with spring cuteness! This card would be an adorable addition to your Mother’s Day gift or just a card for a dear friend.
