Hi friends! It’s Ivy and I am so happy that spring is almost here! There’s just something about spring that makes me want to add florals to everything and pretend I own a tiny little flower shop.
Today I’m sharing how to create a handmade Flower Shop Spring Card that’s full of color and dimension. Let's get started!
Supplies
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock papers:
- Adhesives
- Dies
- LDRS Creative Boutique Storefront 3D Die
- Flower and leaves dies from Kittie Kraft by Rubbernecker
- Foam mat
- Large dotting tool
- Markers (optional)
- I’m using acrylic paint markers and Click Art markers
I’m starting with an A2 horizontal card base in Turquoise. Next, I die cut all of the storefront pieces. If you don’t have this die set, you can find something similar on your electronic die cutting machine by searching for things like store, shop, etc. I cut my window pieces from Splash, the awning from Canary and White, the door and sign from Lime and Kelly Green, and my window panes from White.
I also cut some Canary planters and a TON of flower and foliage pieces from the greens, pinks, and lavender. I like having extra flowers to work with, so I cut multiple of everything in each color.

I started by assembling the awning using White and Canary cardstock. Next, I built the main storefront. This die set is so much fun because it includes multiple doors and window options, allowing you to customize the look each time you create it.
One tip I wanted to share for adding depth in the windows is to layer the base window first, then add the leaf pieces. Next, die cut a second window frame and adhere it on top. This creates a beautiful layered effect. It’s hard to see in the photos, but I also lightly colored the window “glass” using a light blue Click Art marker as watercolor to give them a soft blue tint.

For added dimension, I popped up the planter box with foam tape. This not only creates depth, but also allows you to tuck flowers in behind it to look like a fuller arrangement.
The flowers were my favorite part! I mixed and matched several different blooms. To give them shape, I used a large dotting tool on a foam mat to gently curl the petals upward.

For the finishing touch, I used acrylic paint markers to add bright centers to each flower. You could also add tiny rhinestones to the centers if you’d like.
I love how colorful this card is, and it is perfect for spring. I may not be able to open a real flower shop, but I can create one anytime I want with some good cardstock and a set of flower dies!

I hope you enjoyed this sweet spring project! Thank you so much for visiting the Cardstock Warehouse Blog today.
