Hi, everyone! Natasha of @PoliteCreations, joining you with a beautiful spring-inspired pastel flower card. If you enjoy die cuts with lots of dimension, you are going to love this project! Let's get started...
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock paper:
- Adhesives:
- Concord & 9th- Butterfly Blooms Stamp & Dies
- Versa Clair Ink
- Tools
- Die Cutting Machine
- MISTI Stamping Platform
To start, die cut the cover plate twice from Bright White cardstock. Die cut the 5 butterflies from Candy Pink, 7 tulips from Sorbet Yellow, and the cover plate using Lavender, setting the bottoms of the tulip to the side. Also die cut 5 decorative wings from Bright White. I often cut a few extra pieces just in case.
Adhere one of the white die cut panels to an A2 panel of Azure Blue. Die cut the cover plate into a panel of Park Green and save the leaves and stems. I chose to die cut the panel panel side up so I could add Press’n Seal to the back and keep the pieces in place to adhere with wet glue.

Add small foam squares to the top area of the tulips only and place the sorbet yellow tulip die cut on each flower. This creates dimension at the tip of the flower to make it look bloomed. Now adhere the second bright white die cut panel.
Add a foam square to the bottom area of the tulip and adhere a lavender piece. Using a thicker foam square, pop 4 candy pink butterflies into place. Use dots of wet adhesive to add the Bright White wings.

Take the last candy pink butterfly and stamp a small sentiment on it. Pop it up into the final spot on the panel and add the decorative wings. I chose to snip the pointed centers of the decorative wings, so my sentiment would fully show.

My card panel is now complete. I opted not to add any additional bling or inking so the cardstock could be the true star here. I love how this turned out, and I hope you try this technique with one of your background panel dies!
