Embossed and Inked Thank You Card

Embossed and Inked Thank You Card

Hello, crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! Today, I am sharing with you a quick and simple thank you card.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock Warehouse Papers:
    • White Frost Colorplan 100lb
    • Quartz Stardream Metallic
    • Gold Mirror
    • Black Mirror
    • Gumdrop Green Pop-Tone 100lb
  • Glue
  • Inks
    • Distress Oxide Vintage Photo (brown)
    • Distress Oxide Mustard Seed (dark yellow)
    • Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke (grey)
    • Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry (magenta)
  • Blending Brush
  • Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers Magnolia Die
  • Honey Bee Stamps Thanks Buzzword Die
  • Spellbinders Knock on Wood Embossing Folder

First, I used Spellbinders Knock on Wood embossing folder to emboss the White Frost cardstock. Using a blending brush, I then applied Distress Oxide Vintage Photo with a blending brush. You can use this blending technique using any embossed background and ink color. This is a great way to add dimension to your cards!

Next, I lightly brushed Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke on the embossed panel.

Next, I used Honey Bee Stamps Magnolia die to cut the flower layers from White Frost cardstock. I then applied Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry to the layers to make them a pink ombre. I also used Mustard Seed ink to make the yellow center of my flower.

Next, I adhered the wood embossed panel to a pre-cut A2 size Quartz Metallic card base. (4.25in x 5.5in when folded) I love the shimmer of the Quartz paper and its so easy to make cards with Cardstock Warehouse's pre-cut card bases.

Once the panel is adhered, I then adhered a smaller panel to the card front. I used Gold mirror cardstock and lightly brushed Vintage Photo on the smaller White Frost panel.

Next, I adhered the flower and the sentiment to the card front. I used Black Mirror cardstock to die cut the Thanks sentiment. Mirror paper is perfect for bold sentiments!

Using a MISTI stamping tool, I used black ink to stamp the remainder of the sentiment.

To add a final touch to the card, I added gold pearl embellishments and I used Distress Oxides Mustard Seed to add splatter to the center of the magnolia.
