"Be My Galentine" Valentine's Day Party Banner

Be My Galentine Party Banner

This year I am hosting a small Galentine's Day crafting retreat and, of course, I need some fun decorations for it! I love how this banner turned out, and I can't wait to hang it at my party with my girlfriends.

“Friends who laugh together, stay together. Cheers to coffee dates, inside jokes, and loving each other through it all. Happy Galentine’s Day, ladies!”

Supplies:

Start by cutting all your pieces. I have linked the Cricut project above. If you don’t have a Cricut, you can search your machine’s software for a pennant shape, font, and heart you like to create your own file. Once you have all pieces cut, I suggest organizing them before you start assembling.

Glue the pink and red layers to the gold backgrounds to create your pennants. Make sure you are lining them up carefully to ensure the ribbon holes line up. I am using Bearly Art® glue to glue mine, but you could also use Scor-Tape or a tape runner.

After the pennants are complete, you can move on to gluing the letters and heart pennant. Simply layer the red letter on the white background, and the gold heart on top of the white heart.

Let’s add the letters to the pennants! I like to add foam tape to the letters and add them to the pennant instead of gluing them flat with liquid glue. This gives your banner a more 3d and dimensional look. If you’re feeling fancy, you can add additional embellishments.

Now you are ready for the final step… stringing the banner! Run your ribbon or twine through each of the pennants as shown below. I like to string mine with the ribbon going into the front of the first hole, and through the back of the second hole, so the ribbon overlaps on the edges of the banner. If you prefer, you can do the opposite, and then the ribbon will run across the center of the pennant. Once your banner is strung, you are ready to hang it up for your party!
