Happy Easter Gift Box

Happy Easter Gift Box

Hi, Crafty Friends!! If you're looking for a nice project for Easter, I've got you covered! These Happy Easter Boxes are so cute and are an easy way to give Easter gifts or treats. Let's get started!

Materials:

You can find the box template and the Easter add-ons in the supplies linked above. Import them into your Cricut and adjust as needed.

I edited the original size box to fit perfectly on 8.5x11" cardstock - if using the Design Space clipart, adjust accordingly if you'd like a bigger/smaller box.

I started my assembly by first gluing together all the small pieces of my clipart. I know it looks like a lot - but it took less than 13 minutes to get it all glued. :) You can also print these on Diamond Glitter Paper if you want to step up your design while cutting back on assembly time.

The box itself is super fast to assemble. We'll start by grabbing the two pieces that make up the front and back, and folding along the dashed score lines. I like to assemble the front of my box which has the tabs inside the "m" of the handle - this is so when the box is closed, those tabs aren't visible to the front.

Once the box pieces are folded, we can add glue along the strips to attach them. Once the first half is done, simply fold over the box and glue the side of the other half to seal.

Next we're going to attach the colored handles to the front. Not only is this a cool way to make your box pop with the additional color, it also makes the handle a little stronger to hold your goodies inside.

Once both handles are glued, we can go ahead and make sure we're designing the front part of our box. I started by adding my "Easter" top and then added all my next layers besides the characters - the fence, grass, and clouds, all with foamies for some dimension.

Now that those are in place, I added the next set of clipart which was the remaining characters - everything that makes Easter, Easter!

Now we're going to work on the bottom of the box - closing it up so we can add some goodies inside. To do this, start with the boxy wide flap, followed by the two in the middle and then insert the pointy one to close.

Now you can fill the box with goodies as you please, and then, push through the small tabs at the top to close the box. Happy filling!
