Hi everyone! Natasha of @PoliteCreations here, joining you with a fun holiday card. Christmas carols are a timeless tradition for many families, and nothing beats the sound of music played from a record player. This card emulates the joy of holiday cheer spread through music and dancing! Let’s get started.
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock papers:
- Hero Arts Drop the Needle die set and Swingin’ Christmas stamp set
- Versafine Black Ink
- White Embossing Powder
- Embossing Ink
- Gems
- Tools:
- Die Cutting Machine
- Paper Inking Palette
- MISTI Stamping Platform
- Heat Gun
- Adhesives:
I started by cutting my pieces. The record is cut from both White and Ultra Black. The smaller half circle is cut from Bright Red. The needle and knob elements are cut from Celeste and Mirror Gold and layered together with foam. I wanted a bright, non-traditional color palette for this fun card!

The sentiments are stamped onto both parts of the record’s label and adhered together. When stamping, pay attention to your direction to ensure that the words can be read. You may end up orienting your record on the card panel differently if you do not.
With everything assembled separately, all that is left to do is adhere the elements into place with liquid glue onto an A2 panel of Stardream Aquamarine. This is such a lovely shade of light blue/turquoise, and has a beautiful, subtle shimmer. I added a few gems for a little sparkle.

This card comes together very quickly and puts a *fun spin* on your typical holiday card. This would be an especially good card for someone who collects vinyl or loves their record player!
