Spring Flower Market Cake Topper

Spring Flower Market Cake Topper

Spring has sprung, which means it’s time for fresh flowers! During the spring, I love visiting the flower stand at our local Farmer’s Market to browse all the beautiful blooms. This layered cake topper would be the sweetest addition for any spring-themed gathering or bridal shower. Follow along to learn how to make it!

Start by cutting all the pieces from the above file, created from several images in Cricut Design Space. I decided to tackle the checkerboard canopy on the flower stand first. Whenever I work with small pieces which need to stay in a particular order, I keep them on my cutting mat to avoid mixing them up.

Next, assemble the rest of the shop exterior and flowers. I love how the Stardream Silver Cardstock makes the vases appear to be metal, just like at a real-life flower stand.

On the back of the flower stand, place the foam tape and adhere to the blue background. Then glue the bottoms of the flower vases to the small ledge.

Now it’s time to add the ‘Flower Market’ words. Carefully glue each letter on the flower stand canopy.

Then, using your hot glue gun, attach the clear acrylic sticks to the bottom of the topper.

Lastly, use the foam tape again to create a border around the back of the topper. I used two layers to ensure the backing would fit over the acrylic sticks. This step is completely optional but gives the back of the topper a more finished and polished look.
