Hi Crafty Friends!! It’s my favorite time of year! Well... kinda. Christmas in July is almost as good as Christmas in my mind. I’m bringing a cute box of chocolates to you today. If you happen to want to use a different style of candy, just contour the circles in your design software and create the shape of your new candy. Super easy! Let's get started!
Materials:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock papers:
- Cut File: Christmas Garland Box from Creative Fabrica
- Cutting Machine
- Adhesives:
- Ferrero Rocher candies or other treats
Download the cut file linked above, import it into your machine, and make any adjustments you'd like to make. Then cut all of your pieces. I wanted a traditional Christmas color scheme, so I went with Red Rose, Lockwood, and Forest as my main colors, with accents in Stone.
I started assembling my box base and insert first. Grabbing those pieces, you’ll want to fold along the scored lines and then glue the small tabs on the inside so they remain hidden when assembled. You’ll notice two heights on the red pieces; the taller height is the bottom of the box.

Once all three of those pieces are glued, we can go ahead and set the insert into the bottom of the box and fill with our candy before setting aside.
Sidenote: If you don’t want to use an insert in your box, you could also put crinkle paper inside with treats on top. Running your scraps through a paper shredder is a great way to make your own custom crinkle paper and reduce waste!

Next, we’re going to glue the two circles on top of each other. This will serve as the base to our wreath. Once it’s glued, you can place it onto the lid of the box and glue it in place. Now we will glue the leaves onto the beige backing, but only the leaves with the cutout. It’s optional to add foamies onto the small red circles, but I like depth, so I added red foam tape underneath.

Lastly, it’s time for us to add our leaves and bow onto the box. I placed the leaves down and before gluing, I made sure I had them spaced out exactly as I wanted. Once they were properly spaced, I added the red circles with the foam. To assemble the bow, I glued the red bow pieces onto the beige, folded them over, and glued them down before placing the snowflake on top.

I hope this project inspired you to Make Something Beautiful™! The great thing about a hexagon box file is that you can use the hexagon base to create favor or gift boxes for any theme! Cover the top with holiday decorations for any holiday, paper flowers, names or numbers for birthday celebrations, custom die cut shapes or characters, etc! So many great options if you just use a little creativity!
