Hi friends, it’s Ivy. We planned a sweet little birthday party last minute for my baby girl who is turning four. The theme started as Fancy Nancy-inspired, but we decided to put our own little twist on it and make it “Fancy Elearei” with a fun, beachy vibe.
I have made so many invitations using Cardstock Warehouse Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter printable glitter paper, and it is truly my FAVORITE! It adds the prettiest sparkle to every project. It could not have been more perfect for our “Fancy Elearei” theme!
Let’s get started. Here are the supplies you need:

- I am using a Cricut with image #M505CA409
Start by designing your invitation. I used design software and a photo of my daughter to design an A2 size (4.25"x5.5") invitation card, which allowed me to print four invitations on each 8.5x11 sheet. You can use any design software and graphics you like to create your own invitation.
I then printed my invitations on the White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter paper. Can you believe how great these prints look? And I just can't get enough of that sparkle! It's hard not to want to use this paper for everything.
Next, cut the frames. I used my Cricut machine and slightly adjusted the frame design so it would fit perfectly as a frame over my A2 card. To do this, I added Cricut Image #M505CA409 to my canvas and then created a 4.25x5.5 rectangle. I selected the wavy border of the frame, and then stretched the frame, with the proportions unlocked, to fit the wavy frame part directly over the A2 invite card. Once I knew the frame was the same size, I used the "offset" feature to create a thinner wavy line that fits in the center of the original border for a layered look.
I made the wavy frames in a couple of different colors because my daughter could not choose just one. Since we have both boys and girls attending, I thought it would be fun to have a variety of colors for everyone.
I adhered the thinner squiggly frame on top of the thicker frame using the Bearly Art glue. I love the thin tip on this glue for gluing detail pieces.
Then, I attached the entire border to the printed A2 invitation piece to make it look like it was framed. For the final layer, I added an A7 (5"x7") cardstock mat with a crepe paper ombre glued to it for an extra pop of color and dimension. You could also use a fun color of cardstock with no crepe paper.
The pièce de résistance is adding all the rhinestones and gems to make it extra fancy! ✨
This invitation was so easy and fun to put together, and I love how the layers, sparkle, and playful colors made it feel extra fancy. It’s the perfect little handmade invitation for our “Fancy Elearei” beach birthday celebration!
