“Somebunny is One” is a perfect theme for a spring first birthday party! I had so much fun designing this 12-month photo banner for this theme, and I love how 12-month photo banners double as beautiful decorations and memorable keepsakes. These are easy to put together but make a big impact… so let's get started!!
Supplies Needed:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock paper:
- Adhesives
- Hole Punch
- Ribbon
- Mini Clothespins
- Cricut Cutting Machine
Start by getting your files ready and cutting all your pieces out. I found the flower, bunny, and bow on Cricut Design Space, and you can find them in the Cricut file linked above. The font I used is Jelly Puff, which you can download separately, but I also added a similar option to the Cricut file if you want to use that.
Once your pieces are cut, glue the white circles into the middle of the yellow flowers using Bearly Art glue or foam tape. You could also cut a circle that is 1/2 inch in diameter bigger than the white circle to add another layer in between. You can make your banner as intricate or as simple as you like! *Pro Tip: I love using heavier poundage cardstock, like 100 lb., when making banners because it makes them very sturdy.

Now we will move on to making the bunny. Start by assembling the layers of the bow. I used foam pop dots to attach the two main bow layers, and then glued on the small rectangular center piece with liquid glue.
Glue the bow at an angle to one of the ears of the bunny pennant. Make sure you leave enough room to properly center your numbers later. You could also attach the bow as a bowtie under the chin instead, or alternate between the two on the banner.

Once you have all the flower and bunny pennants glued, you can move on to gluing the numbers. I used the offset option with the numbers to create a shadow effect for them. Glue the two layers of each number together using liquid glue, and then attach them to the pennants with foam pop dots to give them more dimension.

You have two options for attaching your photos to your banner. I like to hot glue mini clothespins to the back of the pennants and clip the pictures on them, so it doesn't ruin the photo. This also makes the banner reusable if you want to pass it on to someone else after your party. If you don’t want to mess with the clothespins, you can always tape the photo to it instead.
If you decide to use clothespins, hot glue them to the back of the pennants on the bottom, with the opening of the clothespin pointed down. Now you can clip the top of the photo to the bottom of the banner pennants.
Finally, use ribbon or twine to thread the banner. I strung my ribbon through the holes in the flowers, but decided to hot glue the back of the bunny ears directly to the ribbon so I didn't have to put holes in them. I am going to wait to do this on the day of the party so I know I have them spaced the way I want.

Now your banner is ready to hang and fill with adorable photos of your favorite little bunny! Adding numbers or letters to layered shapes is a great way to make banners more interesting than the standard triangle pennants, and adding foam adhesive between the layers gives the banners a more professional look.
