It's time to start planning all the summertime parties and celebrations! How fun and cute is the banner? It's perfect if you are having a party or to add some decorations to your snack cart around the pool!
Supplies:
- Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Paper:
- Lessebo Colours 83 lb.
- Lime Green
- Cherry
- Bubblegum
- Flamingo
- Sunflower
- Beach Blue
- Purple Haze
- White
- Pitch Black
- Bearly Art® Precision Glue
- Ribbon or Twine
- Pop Dots
- Hole Punch
- Scissors
- Cutting machine
- Cutting files: Cricut Design Space (See instructions below)
The first thing you will need to do is find your files. I am using images from an image set on Cricut. Go to the image search, click on "image sets" on the left, and then type in "summer banner pennants" and you'll see this set pop up. You can choose whichever images you like to match your event or pool deck.
Now it's time to cut! I am using the Lessebo Colours paper line because they die cut wonderfully and have beautiful, bright colors! You can find all the colors I used listed in the supplies above.
Time to glue! *Tip: I like to lay out all the pieces into piles that belong together before gluing to make it easier.* These files are super easy to glue together. Simply layer the pieces together with liquid glue. I am using Bearly Art® glue that I put into a small squeeze bottle.
For the flip flops, I used foam tape on the straps to give a 3d effect. I glued the toe separator with liquid glue, which gives the illusion that you could actually slide your foot into these cute little paper flip flops!
The last step is to string your banner. You can use ribbon, twine, or yarn to create your banner, and space them however you like based on where you are going to hang it. I like to put mine a little closer together, but you can also add more space between each pennant if you want a longer banner.
Now my banner is ready to display! It matches all of my pool accessories so perfectly!
