Hi, Crafty Friends!! Here on the blog today, I’m presenting you the cutest shopping cart you’ll ever see! This cart is so fun to use as a party favor, a gift box, or a little decoration for the shopping enthusiast in your life. Let’s get started…
Materials:
- Cardstock Warehouse cardstock papers:
- Cricut Cutting Machine
- Adhesives:
- Scoring Wheel or Stylus
- Brads
As always, it all starts with cutting the pieces. When I saw this cart file from Louise Beauregard, I knew I had to make my own version with Silver Stardream. In the Design Space file, you’ll notice I’ve added a few extra score lines to the project. This is because I’m using 105lb paper, and sometimes the stylus/scoring wheel doesn't leave impressions deep enough, and it can be harder to fold.
To begin the assembly on the cart, I folded along the scored lines and then added all the red decorative pieces on each respective panel of the cart. After those were glued, I grabbed the extra handle layer that offers more support and glued it onto the frame of the cart, before gluing the score tabs together to form the upper portion of our cart.

Next, we’ll be working on the bottom parts of our cart. We’re going to fold along the scored lines and glue together the tabs on the bottom that have the small circle cutouts for our wheel to form the base.
Then, glue the bottom of the cart together with that piece, making sure the wheel area stays at the bottom (the pieces line up perfectly, so you can’t get it wrong). While the cart is upside down, I glued the support for the wheel areas inside so the seams remain hidden.
Next, I glued together the pieces that would form the heart handle and glued them onto the handle.

Our cart will have three tabs going down the middle of the bottom part of our cart - these are going to get glued onto the only remaining parts of the cart, forming the very bottom.
Finally, it’s time for us to insert the silver pieces that will hold our wheels in place with the brads. Just slide them into the insert that is already on the bottom of the cart. I cut out a few layers of the wheels and glued them together to give support; depending on what you’re filling your cart with, one wheel may be fine - adjust as you feel necessary.
Once the silver piece was slid into the insert, I placed the brad through one side of the silver holder, through the wheel, and opened the pins to keep the brad in place once it went through all the holes. Repeat for all 4 wheels.

This is optional, but I added a small heart decoration to the front of the cart. You can add whatever you desire to the outside, like Valentine’s Day die cuts, a layered name die cut, or small gems or rhinestones.
Now, fill your shopping cart to your heart's desire, and you’re done! I can just picture a whole set of these lined up with everyone’s names on them!
Here’s a final look at my completed cart!
