Autumn Gold and Inked Leaves Card

Autumn Gold and Inked Leaves Card

Hello crafty friends! I hope you're having a great day! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. From the chill in the air, and the change of the leaves, my pumpkin spiced tea is warm and ready to be served. To celebrate the season, I’m sharing with you this quick and easy fall-inspired Thank You card.

Supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Paper:
    • Lessebo White 100lb
    • Gold Mirror 100lb
  • Adhesive Glue
  • MISTI Stamping Tool
  • Black Ink
  • Acetate Sheet
  • Distress Reinkers: Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, and Squeezed Lemonade
  • Fall Leaves Die
  • Thanks Sentiment Stamp

First, I cut a sheet of Lessebo White cardstock in half. For the first sheet, I used a piece of acetate to apply Distress Reinkers Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, and Squeezed Lemonade. I simply applied a few drops of the inks to my work surface, spritzed the inks with water, and used the piece of acetate to apply the ink to the cardstock.

For the first sheet, I applied the ink only in the center, as I’m going to cut the cardstock down to panel size for my card. For the second sheet, I applied the ink on the card stock entirely, as I’m going to use it to die-cut the leaves for my card. To ensure the card stock is dry, I applied heat with my heat tool.

Next, using the Fall Leaves die set from Waffleflower, I’m going to position the dies on the cardstock and then cut the leaves. For the top layer of the leaves, I used Gold Mirror cardstock.

Next, it's time to use liquid adhesive to assemble the leaves.

I used a Stitched Frame Die to cut the panel for my card. I then positioned the panel on my MISTI and used a Thanks stamp set to stamp the sentiment for this card.

Finally, I positioned and adhered all the leaves to the card, adding a hint of gold splatter to finish this project. I also added a Gold Mirror cardstock panel layer between my two white layers.
