DIY Paper Butterfly Letter Board Icons

Hi crafty friends! Ivy here from @ivypinkmade. Have you ever thought of making your own letter board icons? I’m going to show you how easy they are to make today!

Supplies:

• Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
• White Diamond Inkjet Print Glitter
• DIY Letterboard Pegs by A Peace of Creativity
• FREE Butterfly SVG (right click and save as an .svg file)
• Iridescent Prisma Basket Wrap
• Scissors
• Die Cutting Machine (I use a Cricut Maker on the Glitter Paper and "more" setting)
• Bearly Arts Liquid Glue
• Rhinestone crystals
• Crystal Katana, or other jewel picker
• Glue Dots
• Letterboard
• Letterboard alphabets

Cut this FREE Butterfly SVG in various sizes on your die-cutting machine.

For my butterflies, I used White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter - so pretty!

I cut them ranging largest 3” inches to smallest 1.5” inches. 

Once you have your butterflies cut out, adhere it on to your iridescent wrap.

I used Bearly Arts liquid glue; it has a fine tip and dries clear. After the adhesive has dried, use scissors to trim off the iridescent wrap.  

Next, cut cardstock pieces in different colors to fit the wings.

It doesn't have to be perfect just as long as each color covers each wing window.

Adhere the cardstock pieces and once it dries, trim the edge.

Now, this part is optional but I thought adding crystal rhinestones just gave it a little extra touch. 

Just dab a little glue to add the rhinestones; I love using a crystal katana to pick up the rhinestones.

Your butterflies should look like this

The very last step is to adhere the letter board pegs on the back of the butterflies.

I used an adhesive dot to stick the pegs on the back of the butterflies. 

Now your butterflies should look like this and they are ready to use on a letter board

There you have it, the cutest letterboard icons! Imagine the possibilities!
