Although I’m the type of person who is grateful for each day of the year, I must say Christmas is my favorite season! Giving is my love language, and it brings me so much joy to make gifts and see the delight they bring to friends and family. Cue the Christmas music and all things pretty for gift giving, please. If I had more time, I’d probably make every 3D ornament I see, but I had to stop at four.
Before I started making the ornaments, I used a brush pen and gel pen to script some of my favorite Christmas carols onto White Frost paper. I also drew the shapes used for the ornaments on my iPad before turning them into SVG files. I have provided the SVG files in the supplies list above. I configured the shape in Cricut Design Space to get the maximum number of pieces to fit on each 8.5x11 sheet.

For my first ornament, I used the Gold Touch Mirrisparkle paper along with the Finial Vintage Ornament SVG. Since 6 shapes fit on the page, I decided to use 6 for this ornament. Each shape was then scored down the middle and folded in half. Using Bearly Art® glue, I adhered the outside flap of each one to another folded piece until I had 3 glued together. I then repeated those steps to create the other half. Making a loop with the ribbon, I trimmed it to fit inside the center of the ornament. I found that using Scor-tape helps the ribbon lie flat to prevent the ornament from looking bulky.

For my next ornament, I used the Vintage Ornament 2 SVG and a red brush pen to calligraph the lyrics of a Christmas carol onto White Frost Colorplan paper. I cut one sheet of 5 ornament shapes on the calligraphed paper, and one sheet of plain white ones, and scored and folded them down the middle.
Alternating between the two styles, I adhered the inside flap of each one to another folded piece until they were all glued together. I adhered the ribbon in the center the same way as before, and using Scor-tape, I taped one side of the remaining flap before closing the ornament.

The star ornament proved to be a bit of a challenge, and I watched several videos before settling on this one. Using the White Frost Colorplan paper, I trimmed it to 5x5 inches. After following the tutorial, the crisp creases begged to be glittered with loose white glitter. Using the Bearly Art® glue, I squeezed a line on each mountain crease and then covered the wet glue with glitter. For those of you who love shimmer and sparkle like I do, this is your opportunity to use as little or as much as you’d like. The glitter police will not be patrolling here!

For the Christmas carol paper orb, I found an easy-to-follow tutorial here. Using the White Frost Colorplan paper, I penned the lyrics of another favorite carol, adding gold dots between each word with a gel pen before cutting into strips and embossing. Scor-tape was used to adhere each strip accordingly.

These beautiful ornaments can be used to decorate a table, mantle, or even a bookshelf. Perhaps you love gifting handcrafted pieces that are meaningful, and I hope this project inspires you to create something festive and special!
