So we are off to a New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful 2019 and If you just survived it, then that's a reason to celebrate, too! I personally am so happy to be welcoming 2020, another year for so many opportunities and craft time. Speaking of craft time, I wanted to bring you a sweet floral Valentine's Day card. There will be a full video you can find on my youtube channel down below.
Let's get Crafting!!
To get started on this card we are going to be using Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers:
- Sweet Tooth 100lb
- Pink Lemonade 100lb
We are then going to start the stamping. I'm going to use Gina K Amalgam ink and stamp Mama Elephant Wild Meadow in the center up and down with space between.
For our coloring, we are going to use colored pencils from Arteza. I'm going to color in the flowers in alternative colors and try to stick with a color pallet that complements the pink lemonade card stock.
After all our flowers are colored in we are going to work on the card base. I'm going to pull out my Pink Lemonade and trim it down to 4" 1/8 x 5" 1/16 So a tad smaller than the card base. While we are trimming we are going to trim up the flower panel that we colored so there is a nice pink border, so we are going to trim it to 5" 1/8 x 3" 5/16.
I'm then going to take my Wink of Stella to give a little sparkle and go around the edges of my Pink Lemonade card stock.
Using my double-sided tape I'm going to adhere my flower panel to my Pink Lemonade and then that panel to my card base.
We now need to add our sentiment which is a small strip 4" 1/4 x 1/2" on Pink Lemonade and using our Wink of Stella to give all the sparkles, We are going to stamp down Happy Valentines Day from the Hero Arts "All my love decorative hearts" stamp set using versa fine ink.
Working with Spiegelmom Scraps I'm going to use these beautiful Pink Promenade sequins and add 6 to the front of the card using my Tombow glue.
Now you can add a personal message inside and give this beautiful card to someone you love oh so much.
