- Colorplan Harvest 100 lb.
- Gold Mirror
- Pop-Tone Gumdrop 100 lb.
-
Adhesives:
- Liquid Glue
- Foam Tape
- Scor-Tape double-sided tape
- Spellbinders Oval Nesting Dies
- Distress Oxide: Tumbled Glass
- Blending Brush
- Sentiment Stamps
- Waffle Flower’s Sweet Plaid Texture Background Die
- Gold Half Pearl Embellishments
Begin by using the nested shape dies to cut oval shapes from both Lessebo White and Gold Mirror cardstock. I cut the smaller one in white, and the larger one in gold so that my final oval will have a gold border around it.
Using Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and a blending brush, lightly blend color onto the white cardstock panel to create a soft, refreshing background. I didn't add a ton of color because I wanted this to be subtle.
Select a sentiment from your sentiment stamps and stamp it onto the prepared oval panel. You can also heat emboss your sentiment if you'd like! Set this panel aside while you work on the other elements.
Use the remaining colors of cardstock (listed in the supplies above) to die cut and assemble your coffee cups and flowers. When working with floral dies, I always cut a few more pieces than I think I will need so I have extras while I am laying out my design. Arrange these pieces to create a balanced, eye-catching design. I also added some gold mirror accents in the die cuts.
Position and adhere the coffee cups, flowers, and sentiment panel onto the card front. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to create dimension on my card.
Next, I die cut the back panel using Waffle Flower’s stitched panel background die to add a subtle yet elegant texture. If you do not have a background die, you can also use an embossing folder for this step.
Finally, adhere the completed card front to the A2 top folded card base. Add a few half-pearls for a touch of sparkle and dimension. (Want to speed up your card making? Grab pre-cut half-fold card bases HERE!)
