Lilies for You Handmade Card with Stardream Paper

Lilies for You Card with Stardream Paper

Hi, friends! I’m Lauren from Lauren Taylor Made and I’m back with another card-making post to share with you today. I love the pearlescent shine of the Stardream Cardstock collection and thought they would look so pretty on a floral card!

Supplies:

I narrowed down the Stardream Cardstock colors I wanted to use with the Artisan Flora Lily Para-Dies and cut them out. I also used the Gold to be the shadow and White Lessebo for the word of my For You sentiment. To give the die cut pieces out of Rose Quartz and Fairway some dimension, I ink blended on a little bit of Distress Ink with small blending brushes.

Once the pieces were ready, I layered the flowers, buds, and sentiment together with liquid adhesive. I trimmed a piece of White Lessebo to 4x5-¼” and embossed it with the Branching Out folder and splattered some gold watercolor. Once it was dry, I adhered it to an A2 card base with tape runner and started to layer the florals and sentiment with liquid and foam adhesive. I also stamped a birthday with black ink.

I just love the shine on my card with the beautiful lilies and white on white background. The pearlescent shines through, even where I added some Distress Ink! I hope this card inspires you today to use some shiny paper with florals. Perfect for upcoming spring birthdays!
