Layered Die Cut Birthday Card

Layered Die Cut Birthday Card

Hi Crafty Friends, I hope you all are having a great day! For this project, I made a square card using a layered die, so I could show off the Merry-Go-Round Paper Pack. I was able to use 9 out of the 10 colors of cardstock. Imagine all of the color combinations you could put together! Let’s get started.

Supplies

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers: Merry-Go-Round Multi-Pack, Ebony Black, Bright White
  • Metal Dies
  • Birthday Sentiment Stamps
  • Ink and Embossing Powders
  • Embellishments
  • Heat Gun
  • Die Cut Machine
  • Foam Tape

To start this colorful card, I die cut the die cut images out of the Merry-Go-Round cardstock. There are 3 dies, so I picked 3 different colors per completed image, for a total of 9 colors.

Once you adhere the pieces together you will have 3 color combos. I used liquid glue to adhere the pieces together.

I glued the die cut images to a 3 ½ x 3 ½  die cut square. I trimmed off the excess and filled in the missing pieces. Then I matted that onto a piece of Ebony Cardstock, for a black mat look.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed it with white embossing powder on Ebony Cardstock and trimmed down. I used foam tape behind it for dimension. I also added some clear embellishments in the center of each image for embellishment. I adhered that to a 4 x 4 square white card base.
