Tic Tac Toe Valentine Treat Boxes

Tic Tac Toe Valentine Treat Boxes

Hello crafty friends, it’s Neftali Zambrano from All The Neffyness, here for the first time at Cardstock Warehouse! I am so thrilled to be here and I hope that you enjoy my crafty ideas curated to use your colorful cardstock. Today I’m focusing on the Be My Valentine seasons collection paper pack to create this set of colorful Valentine's Day treat boxes.

Aren’t they adorable! You can easily make these yourself using just a few fun tools and the cutest embellishments. Let’s gather up some supplies and get started on this fun DIY.

For this project you will need:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers:

  • All 5 colors in the Be My Valentine Seasons Collection pack: 2 Wild Cherry, 2 Razzle Berry, 2 Cotton Candy, 1 Pink Lemonade, and 2 Bubblegum.

  • One sheet of the Silver Sparkle

  • A box punch board. Mine is from We R Memory Keepers.
  • OPTIONAL: Electric Die Cutting Machine and a box cut file.
  • Double-sided skinny tape
  • Foam adhesive
  • Die Cuts
  • Stickers
  • Chocolates or small treats

Tic Tac Toe Valentine Treat Boxes Paper Selection

Once you have all your supplies, it’s time to cut up some of the sweet boxes.

In my project, I decided to make the smallest size box. For that I cut a total of 9 sheets into 6x6 squares. I specifically needed nine so as to recreate the boxes in a tic tac toe game.

I followed the steps listed on my punch board and used my scoring tool to make some folding lines. I used some red double-sided adhesive tape in the super skinny size to glue my boxes together.

Once all nine boxes are folded and ready to go, don’t forget to add a sweet treat inside!

The next step is the best part... time for some fun Valentine-themed embellishing!

I started by using two different patterned papers cut to .5 inch strips, and I wrapped them around my box. I used a sheet of Silver Sparkle #104 to freehand the “X” and “O”. I cut out 4 O’s and 5 X’s to add one to each box. Then, I brought out what Valentine’s Day themed embellishments I had from my stash, which was a whole lot of Crate Paper stickers and die cuts from a few collections, and decorated each box to my heart's content.

This project is super fun to make and it’s a quick one that can be finished in just a few hours.
