Halloween Ghosts and Spider Web Greeting Card

BOOtiful Halloween Card

Hello crafty friends, it’s Joy here and I have a fun Halloween card for you today. It has stenciled ghosts and die cut spiders. I used traditional Halloween colors for the design, I hope you enjoy!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
    • Sirio Ultra Black 104lb
    • Black MirriSparkle
    • Flame Stardream 104lb
    • Real Grey Colorplan 100lb
  • Pretty Pink Posh: Spiderweb die, Boo Script die, Layered Ghosts Stencil
  • Pink and Main: Reverse Scallop Rectangle die
  • Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink
  • Hero Hues Unicorn Ink
  • Nuvo Crystal Drops Ebony Black

I started with an A2 size piece of Real Grey cardstock and stenciled the cute ghosts with Unicorn Ink and Black Soot ink.

I die cut the scalloped frame and little spiders from Sirio Ultra Black cardstock. This is a true dark black cardstock.

I die cut the Boo Script from Ultra black (three times) and Flame (one time). I glued the three black sentiments together for dimension, then glued the Flame one on top, just slightly offset. This gives the sentiment a shadow behind it.

I wanted the spider web to stand out, so I die cut it from Sparkle Black cardstock. I love the black glitter against the other black cardstock.

I adhered the frame to the stenciled background with foam tape for dimension, then added the spiderweb, also with foam tape. Then the cute sentiment on the top with one of the spiders and the other spider on the web. I finished by adding some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops on the background.
