3d Paper Suitcase Box

3D Paper Suitcase Box

Hi everyone! It's Amanda, back with another awesome 3D paper project! This cute suitcase and travel set makes me want to go on vacation right NOW!

Supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Papers:
    • Lessebo Cherry, 83lb
    • Lessebo Salt Water, 83lb
    • Gold Mirricard Mirror
    • White Diamond Print Inkjet Glitter
  • Etsy File by @ainhoagoitiadesign
  • Vinyl (Optional)
  • Scoring Stylus or Wheel (Optional)
  • Cutting Machine
  • Embossing Folder/Machine (Optional)
  • Foam Tape (Optional)
  • Glue

I uploaded my purchased file into Cricut - if you’re going to resize it, make sure to have everything selected/grouped to resize. This file also doesn’t come with each piece grouped together, so be very careful and don’t forget to “attach” cut lines before beginning to cut. I used Salt Water and Cherry for the main suitcase parts, and Gold Mirror for the accents.

After cutting all of my pieces, I decided I wanted to emboss a few of the inserts to really make them stand out. I did the inserts for inside the suitcase, and also one for the outside.

After embossing, I started with the base of the suitcase. I grabbed both strips with the “teeth” marks and folded along the scored lines. I then lined it up against the suitcase and began gluing.

assembling first half of suitcase

Once I had the first half assembled, I repeated my steps for the next half of the suit case. Once the suitcase had both strips glued, I added the cherry red embossed inserts inside.

I then glued all the red strips onto the gold mirror cardstock and began to adhere them to the suitcase with glue.

Once the suitcase portion was completed, I moved on to the Passport & Boarding Pass. I decided to use printable glitter and loved the outcome.

On the Passport cover, you can use vinyl, which will probably be easier/faster. I love the mirror gold cardstock and decided to use that instead, so I scored the placement so I knew exactly where to glue each piece.

I also offset the Boarding Pass with gold mirror Cardstock (told you, I love it, lol!) Here is what everything looks like all put together! I LOVE how it turned out!
