Bright Spring Floral Bouquet Card

Bright Spring Florals Card

Hi, everyone! Natasha of @PoliteCreations joining you today to share a floral card that is perfect for spring crafting. A white-on-white background allows these florals to really stand out. You can send this card for any ocassion, but it would also make a wonderful Mother's Day card. Let's get started!

Supplies:

To begin, I die cut all of the dies in the Whimsy Blooms Bouquet set from the colored cardstock as pictured below. I always cut some extra pieces so I have plenty to work with. You can create a similar card with any floral dies that you have in your stash.

I then inked all of the die cuts. I used Twisted Citron on the leaves. Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed are blended on the flower petals. I started with a similar color to the cardstock first and then blended the other petal color lightly. The stems have a touch of Milled Lavender added. This creates an ombre effect and helps give the leaves/petals more dimension.

I then assembled the flower stems. I did not use all of the petal layers. I omitted the smallest layer on all of the flowers because I liked the way they looked without it.

Next, I die cut the cover plate design and the sentiment bottom layer from white  Lessebo cardstock, and then cut the words for the sentiment from Bubblegum Lessebo. I assembled the sentiment layers with liquid glue. Now all your pieces are ready to put together on the card!

Using foam adhesive, I assembled the card. First, I added the cover plate onto an A2 white panel. The white die cut layer on top of the white background adds dimension and interest without distracting from the beautiful florals. You can achieve this look with any background plate die you have, or run white cardstock through an embossing folder.

I then arranged the floral stems and added the flowers. I tried to ensure that the stems formed a "bunch" so I could then pop up my bow. Finally, I added the sentiment. Now my card is complete! I love the way this turned out with all of the bright-colored layers!
