Stardream Paper Stripes Card

Stardream Paper Stripes Card

Hi everyone! This month is starting to feel much more normal than the past few months. With people now getting to go back to work and realizing how important their family time really is. I think a positive that came out of this disaster is that we got to sit back and really take in our family and all the love that we have. I know that's what I did, even though my husband worked the entire time other than 3 weeks off, it was so nice to wake up and enjoy the breeze. Which is why I love this card.

This is the perfect "just because" card for anyone that you've thought about during the last couple of months that really stuck out to you. maybe it was that one friend that called to see how you were doing or maybe it was a coworker who gave you a little reassurance or maybe it's just for yourself. lol

So let's get started!

Here is my list of supplies:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
    • Punch Stardream
    • Kunzite Stardream
    • Quartz Stardream
    • Bianco Pergamenata Parchment
  • Sentiment Stamps
  • Flower Stamps
  • Tombow Glue
  • Double-sided tape
  • Gold Embossing Powder
  • Clear Embossing Ink
  • Heat Gun

Stardream Punch, Kunzite, and Quartz Swatches

To start, I'm going to be taking the 3 Stardream Metallic cardstocks in Punch, Kunzite, Quartz. These are all 104lb cardstock which I really like because it gives it a nice sturdy base. I cut these out to be 4” x ¾” and then cut an additional panel for my background with the Stardream Punch at 5 7/16 X 4 ¼

Cut strips of Stardream papers

Now that we have our strips I'm going to lay them out where there is a slight gap between them and layer it from light to dark. After I had them placed the way I like I'm going to use press-n-seal to place them down so I can now glue them without losing my placement. I'm then going to use my background which is just a tad smaller than my card and glue that down so I have a nice purple and white border.

For the floral image, I'm going to use Bianco Pergamenata Parchment and some flower stamps. Heat emboss it with clear embossing ink and gold embossing powder and then heat set that with a heat gun.

After I have my flower image heat embossed I'm going to take out my sentiment stamps and emboss the "You are everything wonderful" on all 3 cardstock colors using the same gold embossing powder.

I'm going to fussy cut out my flowers and I'm going to cut out my sentiment.

Cut flowers and sentiment strips

Now I'm going to put it all together. Starting with the flowers I'm going to glue them down on my card and wait till they dry. After they have had time to dry I can pop up my sentiment and add 3 of these large sequins.

And now our card is complete and very easy to make and it is so beautiful. I'm positive whatever friend or loved one or even stranger that you give this to will put a smile on their face.
