With graduation season around the corner it’s time to start thinking about the graduation gifts! I don’t know about you, but my favorite gifts were cash and gift cards. it was a great way for me to save money for the future and have the option to get whatever I wanted. Spoil your graduate with this beautiful card!

To create this fun Graduation card, you will need:

  • Cardstock Warehouse Cardstock Papers
    • Stardream Collection - Silver
    • Colorplan Collection - Smoke Grey
    • Colorplan Collection - Cobalt
    • Diamond Print - Glitter White
    • Diamond Print - Glitter Silver
    • Foundations Collection - Pure White
    • Foundations Collection - Nightshift Blue
  • Cricut Maker, or Explore Machine
  • Cricut Scoring Tool
  • Cricut Black Pen
  • Adhesive foam dots
  • Glue Pen
  • Foam Adhesive
  • Misc. Embellishments - Optional

Now that you have everything you need, let’s get to work creating this gorgeous graduation card!

To begin, cut all of your pieces on your cutting machine. The cutting file for this project can be found by clicking this link to Cricut Design Space: Graduation Card - Gift Card Holder. If you do not have a Cricut, you can just search for "graduation" and "card" in your machine's software and choose similar pieces.

After cutting out all of your paper pieces, start assembling the card base for the project. Glue the Pure White and Glitter Silver layers to the front center of the card base.

Assemble the graduation cap by gluing the 7 layers together starting with the bottom layer and working your way up. If you aren’t sure of the order, dry stack them before gluing to make sure they are in the right order. The colors I used for these pieces are Nightshift Blue, Cobalt, Silver Stardream, and Diamond Print White Glitter. The pieces on the left of the picture are stacked from top to bottom to show you the correct order.

Using adhesive foam, attach the assembled graduation cap to the front center of the assembled card front. Glue on the 2021 date to the front of the card, slightly offsetting the nightshift blue behind the stardream silver cutout to give it a shadow effect.

Next, fold the gift card envelope along the score lines and assemble using glue on the side flaps. Glue the assembled envelope to the inside of the card.

Now that the card is all assembled, stuff the little pocket with gift cards or cash and write a thoughtful sentiment to the card.

You can add additional embellishments if desired. Once you have your card embellished as desired, you are all done! Your graduate will be so impressed with this fun dimensional card and will probably love it more than the gift you give inside!
