DIY Paper Pie Thanksgiving Leftover Containers

DIY Paper Pie Thanksgiving Leftover Containers

I recently saw a picture that has been making the rounds on Instagram of intricately decorated fall pies. I instantly saved it and knew I wanted to recreate something similar using paper, but couldn’t figure out what I could make. And then it hit me! Pie themed leftover containers for Thanksgiving! I’ll admit that this project did take time - and maybe more than you care to spend on your Thanksgiving decor, but they are the perfect way to send your guests home, with bellies full and extras to eat the next day.

Steps

  1. Design your pie crusts in your cutting machine software. If you do not have a cutting machine. you can simply cut strips of paper and circles to make lattice pies.
  2. To make the lattice crusts, simply cut out strips and weave them into the pattern you want.
  3. Assemble your pies using double-stick tape.
  4. Attach the “pie” to the lid for the carry-out container.
  5. Fill it up with leftovers for your guests to enjoy!
