Thai Unryu Paper Hand-Cut Scrapbook Title

Scrapbook Layout with Hand-cut Thai Unryu Title

Hey there! It’s Kira and I am back with another tutorial using some of the newest Cardstock Warehouse papers. Cardstock Warehouse recently added the Thai Unryu papers to their collection. These are translucent lightweight mulberry papers made from the bark of the mulberry tree. They add the best texture to projects, and I couldn’t wait to test the paper out on my latest project.

Supplies:

My layout today is all about our recent trip to White Sands National Park. My oldest son learned about National Parks in school this year and became obsessed! When the opportunity presented itself to visit New Mexico, he begged us to visit White Sands. I knew I wanted a large title on this layout, so I decided to hand write some letters and cut them out. I sketched out my letters using a pencil.  You will want to draw your letters slightly bigger than you want to cut them because you will need to cut the traced pencil line completely off.

Once you have sketched your title out, just cut with your favorite scissors.

After my letters were cut out, I used a tiny bit of adhesive to adhere them to the background paper.  Then I used my sewing machine to stitch over the top of the letters.

I added some orange puffy alphas to spell out “national park” to add a pop of color to the page and stitched over these as well.

On the reverse page, I added my journaling and photos. I used two photos:  a black and white one (because the lighting and color was poor in the photo) and a color photo. I grabbed the color inspiration for this page from my color photo.

I finished off the page with some embellishments from my stash. I grabbed some paper die cuts, puffy stickers and enamel dots (all from Citrus Twist Kits) to create a couple embellishment clusters around my page.

And that’s it! I hope you feel inspired to grab some of these new Thai Unryu papers from the Cardstock Warehouse store to use on your future projects!
